The Sacramento Kings were heavily linked to Pascal Siakam and O.G. Anunoby before they were traded away by the Toronto Raptors. With the deadline approaching, there are new NBA trade rumors connecting the Kings to more immediate help.

Sacramento has found its core three in the starting lineup with All-Stars De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, alongside the emergence of Keegan Murray. However, the absence of a fourth high-end starter has started taking a toll on the Kings in January. Weeks out from the 2024 NBA trade deadline, some recent Kings trade rumors are pointing toward Sacramento’s targets in February.

According to Matt Moore of Action Network, the Kings are expected to explore a trade for Jerami Grant, Herb Jones and Bojan Bogdanovic. He also mentions that Sacramento is one of the teams with exploratory interest in Charlotte Hornets wing Miles Bridges.

Grant and Jones are obvious trade candidates for the Kings. Grant, who is in the first season of a five-year, $160 million contract, is shooting 46.1 percent from the field this season while averaging 21.8 points per game with a .067 Win Shares per 48 Minutes.

Jones, signed to a four-year deal worth $53.827 million would be an ideal trade candidate for Sacramento. The 35th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft earned All-Rookie Second Team honors in 2022 and owns a stellar .12 WS/48 with a 114 Defensive Rating. While he isn’t much of a scorer, the defensive-minded wind would be an immediate upgrade for Sacramento’s defense.

  • Miles Bridges stats: 20.6 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 3 APG, 1 SPG, 46.2% FG, 35.9% 3PT

Bridges, 25, was the 12th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. While the 6-foot-7 forward is averaging 20.6 points per game this season he has faced repeated allegations of domestic violence, including accusations of endangering his kids and aggravated domestic violence against his partner.

Bogdanovic, 34, is averaging 19.8 points per game this season while shooting 40.9 percent from the perimeter and making 3 three-pointers per game. While he wouldn’t provide Sacramento much defensive help, he is a complementary scorer who would be a significant upgrade over Harrison Barnes.
