The Houston Rockets have not necessarily had a successful first several days of free agency.

General manager Daryl Morey and Co. went all in for Jimmy Butler before he was dealt from Philadelphia to Miami.

The Rockets are also dealing with unquestioned drama behind the scenes after three core pieces were placed on the trade block and with a spat reportedly ongoing betweeen the team’s two biggest stars.

With the free-agent market drying out and without a lot of opportunities to improve their roster, the Rockets are reportedly looking at Andre Igoudala.

According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, the Rockets are looking to trade for the former NBA Finals MVP.

Feigen notes that Houston could be willing to part with a first-round pick for the new Memphis Grizzlies forward after he was acquired from the Golden State Warriors in a trade. None of this can happen until Iggy officially becomes a member of the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Iguodala, 35, has slowed down some in recent years. However, he’s still a top-end perimeter defender. That’s what Houston is said to be looking for right now.

Any move of this ilk would require Memphis taking on salary in return. Hence, Houston being willing to part with a draft pick. Among those bandied about in trade scenarios for the Rockets, Eric Gordon or P.J. Tucker could make sense.
