The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly signing Matt Gay to the largest deal ever for a kicker in free agency.

NFL Network placed the value of the contract at four years and $22.5 million.

Deals can become official on Wednesday, the start of the 2023 league year and also Gay’s 29th birthday.

Gay converted 93.3 percent of his field-goal attempts (28 of 30) and 96.9 percent of his extra points (31 of 32) with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022.

He made the Pro Bowl and won a Super Bowl championship with the Rams in 2021.

A fifth-round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2019, Gay has made 101 of 115 field goals and 138 of 145 PATs across 57 games with the Buccaneers and Rams (2020-22). He is 17 of 23 from beyond 50 yards.
