Kansas City Chiefs starting cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested in York County, South Carolina, and faces multiple charges, ESPN’s Adam Teicher reported Tuesday night.

Per the report:

“Breeland, 28, faces charges of resisting arrest, having alcohol in a motor vehicle with the seal broken, having an open container of beer or wine in a motor vehicle, possession of 28 grams or less of marijuana or 10 grams of hash and driving without a license.”

Herbie Teope of the Kansas City Star, following up on this report, noted the Chiefs are “aware of the situation and have no comment at this time.”

Breeland signed a one-year deal with Kansas City this offseason. He started 15 games for the franchise last year, tallying 48 tackles, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one defensive touchdown during the regular season.
