Ravens sign nine-year veteran CB Brandon Carr

The Baltimore Ravens added to their defense Thursday by bringing in nine-year veteran cornerback Brandon Carr, who spent the past five years with the Dallas Cowboys.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports it is a four-year deal worth up to $24 million that is “likely” more realistically a two-year deal for $12 million in the end.

Carr hasn’t missed a single start in his nine-year career. Originally a fifth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs out of Grand Valley State, Carr started all 16 games as a rookie for the Chiefs in 2008 and hasn’t missed a game since. He spent his first four years in Kansas City before signing with the Cowboys before the 2012 season.

Throughout his career, Carr has intercepted 15 passes and defended a total of 111, adding two pick-sixes, one sack, one forced fumble and nine fumble recoveries.
