Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams defeat Indianapolis Colts with walk-off 22-yard touchdown in OT

Early on, the Los Angeles Rams appeared on their way to an easy victory against the Indianapolis Colts after getting out to a 23-0 lead with seven minutes to play in the third quarter. But the Colts weren’t going down without a fight.

Anthony Richardson, returning from a Week 3 concussion, marched his team back with two touchdown strikes and one more on the ground while converting both two-point conversion attempts. Suddenly, the Colts erased a 23-point deficit and were headed to overtime.

Yet, despite their success, the Colts quickly ran out of luck when the Rams won the coin toss after the end of regulation. Rams QB Matt Stafford led an efficient eight-play drive that concluded by finding record-breaking rookie sensation Puka Nacua over the middle of the field, who then rumbled for a 22-yard walk-off touchdown.

Amazingly, it was the first touchdown of Nacua’s NFL career. He finished the game with a career-best 163 receiving yards on nine receptions and the game-winning touchdown. Not bad for a fifth-round rookie who saw 176 players selected ahead of him in the 2023 NFL Draft.
