Phillies activate shortstop Didi Gregorius (knee) from injured list

The Philadelphia Phillies reinstated shortstop Didi Gregorius from the 10-day injured list on Sunday.

Gregorius has been sidelined by a left knee sprain since last playing in a game on May 4.

Gregorius, 32, is batting .288 with four doubles and seven RBIs in 18 games in his third season with Philadelphia. He is a career .260 hitter with 133 homers and 518 RBIs in 1,032 games with the Cincinnati Reds, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees and Phillies.

Also on Sunday, the Phillies place infielder Nick Maton on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder sprain. The move was made retroactive to Saturday.

Maton, 25, went 3-for-6 with a triple, homer and four RBIs in two games this season with Philadelphia. He has batted .268 with three homers and 18 RBIs in 54 career games with the Phillies.
