Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry will return Monday night to start against the New York Islanders, coach Mike Sullivan confirmed.

He has played twice since the Jan. 2 Winter Classic loss to the Boston Bruins, during which he sustained a lower-body injury.

The Penguins are clinging to the first wild-card position in the Eastern Conference and will welcome the return of their No. 1 goalie, who has a 16-5-5 mark with 2.65 goals allowed and a .921 save percentage this season. The Islanders are just percentage points behind the Penguins.

Pittsburgh has been relying on Casey DeSmith and Dustin Tokarski in goal.

In parts of seven seasons with the Penguins, Jarry has played in 186 games (178 starts) and posted a 109-52-18 record with a 2.59 GAA and .916 save percentage.

The Penguins selected him in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
