The New England Patriots activated linebacker Josh Uche off injured reserve on Saturday one day before a key home game against the Buffalo Bills.

Uche, 23, was sidelined with a foot injury after a 45-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 14. He was originally expected to be lost for the season. The second-round pick in 2020 out of Michigan had 10 tackles and a fumble recovery in nine games this season.

New England also activated defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale, defensive back D’Angelo Ross and wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson to the active roster.

The AFC East lead is on the line Sunday when the 9-5 Patriots face the 8-6 Bills. The Patriots can clinch the AFC East title with a victory and a loss by the Miami Dolphins on Monday against the New Orleans Saints.

The Patriots can also clinch a playoff berth with a victory and number of other loss/tie scenarios that involve the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers or Cleveland Browns.
