The Green Bay Packers have placed running back Ty Montgomery on injured reserve heading into Week 13 due to an injury to his wrist that required surgery.
The Packers announced the move via their official website on Friday afternoon. In a corresponding roster move, receiver Michael Clark has been signed to the active roster from the team’s practice squad.
Montgomery played in eight games this year for the Packers. He was the starting running back out of training camp and came into the year very excited to show off his jacked-up physique. Unfortunately he suffered multiple injuries throughout the season and finished with just 273 yards and three touchdowns on 71 carries.
Rookies Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones have picked up the slack in Montgomery’s absence this year, gaining 594 yards and five touchdowns on 140 carries.
