Otega Oweh scored a team-high 20 points on 9-for-11 shooting from the field to help lead No. 25 Oklahoma to a 107-86 rout of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Thursday in Norman, Okla.

Jalon Moore added 19 for the Sooners (7-0), who played at McCasland Field House — Oklahoma’s volleyball arena — in a “student-only” game.

John Hugley IV poured in 15 points and added 10 rebounds for Oklahoma, which connected on 40 of its 70 field-goal attempts (57.1 percent) and 13 of its 30 3-point tries (43.3 percent). Javian McCollum scored 15 and Le’Tre Darthard put up 14 points.

Kylen Milton led Arkansas-Pine Bluff (4-5) with 24 points 8-for-13 shooting from the floor. Rashad Williams added 20 points for the Golden Lions. Joe French scored 14 points and Lonnell Martin had 13. Arkansas-Pine Bluff shot 43.1 percent (28 of 65) from the field and 8 of 23 (34.8 percent) from 3-point range.

The Golden Lions led briefly at 3-2, but the Sooners quickly took control of the game, going up 30-12 midway through the first half on an Oweh three-point play.

Oklahoma held a 52-34 lead at halftime, having connected on 20 of 37 shots from the floor (54.1 percent), including 9 of 19 (47.4 percent) from beyond the arc. The 52 points were the most in any half this season for the Sooners, before the 55 they scored in the second half.

Moore led the first-half scoring with 14, while Oweh added 10. Milton paced the Golden Lions with 12 before the break.

The 107 points were the most Oklahoma scored since Jan. 3, 2018, when it put up 109 against Oklahoma State.

The victory extended Oklahoma’s best start to the season since 2015-16, when the Sooners began the campaign 12-0 before reaching the Final Four.

Thursday was Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s first of three consecutive games against ranked teams, as they head to No. 11 Gonzaga on Tuesday and No. 4 Connecticut on Dec. 9. Oklahoma hosts Providence on Tuesday in the Big East-Big 12 Battle.
