Baltimore Orioles starter Kyle Bradish took a comebacker off his right foot in the second inning, ending his night early in a road start at the Texas Rangers on Monday night in Arlington, Texas.
Bradish sustained the injury during an at-bat against Rangers catcher Jonah Heim. The ball ricocheted to first baseman Ryan Mountcastle, who made the out at first.
Bradish threw one warmup pitch before limping off.
Bradish was making his first start of the season, throwing 1 2/3 scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two. Orioles left-handed reliever Danny Coulombe replaced Bradish on the mound.
