NFL trade rumors will be a major talking point around the league as the Nov. 5 deadline draws near. Most trade rumors never lead to actual deals, but that never deters anyone’s interest in the potential for the next blockbuster.
While NFL trade rumors may largely be dormant for now, we’ll keep this space updated throughout the season.

Haason Reddick’s situation with the New York Jets
Acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles during the offseason, Reddick held out throughout training camp. He hasn’t joined the team since, missing all three of the Jets’ first three games.
Could New York trade Reddick? The team has publicly resisted that idea, but this situation is not sustainable. Now, some are wondering if the Jets are preparing to either pay up or trade the 29-year-old pass rusher.
After recording 83 QB hits and 50.5 sacks over the past four seasons, there will be plenty of interest in him. The question here is the contract and how ready he is to play after missing the start of the season. Reddick and an acquiring team would likely have to agree to an extension for a deal to be worked out.

Miami Dolphins may have to add a quarterback
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion in their Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills. After going on injured reserve, it’s an open question when/if Tua will return. After all, this represents the third traumatic brain injury Tagovailoa has suffered in less than two calendar years.
Skylar Thompson was slated to be QB1 in Miami, but after suffering an injury in Week 3, veteran Tim Boyle will likely join the active roster, and Tyler Huntley could be activated from the practice squad. Needless to say, this is not an ideal situation for head coach Mike McDaniel.
Could the Dolphins now look at the trade block for a potential upgrade? Trey Lance of the Dallas Cowboys has come up in NFL trade rumors. He’s currently QB3 behind Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush in Big D. The Jacksonville Jaguars (Mac Jones) and Los Angeles Rams (Jimmy Garoppolo) both have backups with a nice amount of starting experience, too. Maybe Carolina would be open to trading Dalton once they’re ready to let Bryce Young give it another shot too.

NFL trade rumors point to Pittsburgh Steelers potentially dealing Russell Wilson
Wilson has missed Pittsburgh’s first three games with a calf injury. After leading the Steelers to a 3-0 record, Fields could be named the full-time starter.
In this scenario, Wilson might simply request to be traded. He’s not in a position to be a backup at this point in his career. He’s also playing under a one-year, $1.21 million contract. That’s team-friendly in the grand scheme of things. Perhaps, the aforementioned Dolphins come calling.

Amari Cooper unhappy with the Cleveland Browns?
This five-time Pro Bowler was offered up to the San Francisco 49ers as part of a package for Brandon Aiyuk this past summer. The fact that this became public record creates somewhat of an issue between Cooper and the Browns. The impending free agent also touched on this recently.
“At the end of the day, you might be traded away from one team — it’s all about how you perceive things. Life is all about perception because in regards to trades, you’re traded away from one team but you’re being accepted into another team,” Cooper said ahead of Week 1.
Depending on how the Browns perform moving forward, Cooper could be on the block. Given their struggles in Week 3 against the New York Giants, that’s a real possibility.

NFL trade rumors quick hits
- The Pittsburgh Steelers are still angling to add a top-end receiver to the mix. They missed out on Brandon Aiyuk during the offseason. The Denver Broncos also declined to move Pro Bowler Courtland Sutton to Pittsburgh. Expect these rumors to pick up more the closer we get to the Nov. 5 NFL trade deadline.
- The New York Jets continue to be linked to Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams. The obvious connection here is Adams’ status as Aaron Rodgers’ former Green Bay Packers teammate. Even then, Vegas has shown no inclination to move Adams. That could change should the team find itself out of contention heading into November.
- Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown was placed on injured reserve recently. According to head coach Andy Reid, he’ll miss the entire season. This could potentially have Kansas City in the market for some receiver help moving forward.
