NCAA absolutely blasted for James Wiseman’ ruling

The NCAA announced on Wednesday that it has suspended Memphis Tigers freshman center James Wiseman 12 games and will force him to donate $11,500 to charity.

This announcement comes after Tigers head coach Penny Hardaway helped a then high school student in Wiseman and his family relocate for college.

More so than the 12-game suspension, the “fine” has people both questioning the NCAA’s status as an “amateur entity” and openly wondering what type of precedent this sets.

Needless to say, the governing body was ripped to shreds upon the suspension being announced.
