The war of words between Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey isn’t going away any time soon.
Speaking with “Rush Fight Club” on SiriusXM Radio, Tate took a shot at Rousey’s mental health, citing an incident in April in which Rousey went after Paige VanZant at a party.
“I think Ronda is somewhat emotionally unstable and I think that’s been characteristic for a long time,” Tate said, via mmafighting.com.
Tate made the point, however, that Rousey’s “unstable” emotional state hasn’t impacted her performance in the Octogon.
“Doesn’t mean she fights any worse for it. I’m not knocking her as an athlete but emotionally she’s just got some things that are a little bit strange and I think that that was one of them.”
After Rousey cursed VanZant out at the April party, she wasn’t met with any backlash from the target of her ire. That’s something that Tate would have handled just a bit differently, if she had been the one on the other end of the exchange.
“This is why I feel like I identify with Paige more. She’s so kind and when this whole thing happened she was like, ‘We’re emotional beings and hopefully I can make it right with Ronda,’ and she’s still such a sweetheart but I’m not that way. When Ronda does things like that to me I’m just like, ‘No, eff you.’ I’m not gonna bow down and not say how I feel.”
At this point, it’s safe to say Tate and Rousey need another fight. Rousey is 2-0, which might have something to do with why Tate is still so salty towards her after all these years.
