As the state of Michigan continues to be battered by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Michigan is offering full refunds to season-ticket holders for the school’s football, basketball and hockey teams’ home games.

The university is providing season-ticket holders with a variety of options, and has announced that the deadline to renew has been extended to June 1, 2020.

This is a thoughtful move from the school as the people in Michigan deal with the effects of COVID-19.

Michigan is currently embroiled in one of the nation’s fiercest outbreaks of the coronavirus. Per the Michigan.gov website, as of Thursday afternoon, there have been over 29,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, and tragically 2,093 people have died due to complications stemming from the coronavirus.
