The Atlanta Falcons will likely get Matt Ryan back in the starting lineup in Week 10 after their bye week and have waived Danny Etling ahead of that expected development, per Field Yates of ESPN.
Ryan missed the team’s game Sunday against Seattle due to an ankle injury he suffered in Week 7. He was seen wearing a walking boot following that game, but the team did not expect his injury to be a long-term issue.
Despite Atlanta’s poor record (1-7), Ryan and the Falcons offense has been highly productive this season. The veteran has completed 70.9% of his passes for 2,170 yards with 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions in seven starts.
