The always interesting character known as Marshawn Lynch has ultimately decided to report to Seattle Seahawks mandatory minimcamp, which starts Tuesday afternoon. There had been rumors and speculation that the All-Pro running back may retire if he didn’t get a new contract.
While that very well could still be true, Lynch is in camp and ready to work out with the rest of the defending Super Bowl champions.

Lynch is set to count $7 million against the cap in 2014, but is currently only the sixth highest-paid running back in the game. In addition to that, Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell has indicated that they plan to go with more of a running back by committee approach this season.
It remains to be seen whether that played a role in the chirping coming from Lynch’s camp earlier in the offseason. As it is, Lynch is back in the fold for now and the defending champs continue to be in a good situation.
