As if the Seattle Mariners weren’t dealing with enough injuries, it looks like star shortstop Jean Segura will be out through July.
Mariners GM GM Jerry DiPoto indicated recently that Segura could very well be out for the next two months after he suffered an ankle injury on Thursday and was immediately placed on the 10-day disabled list.
Dipoto on Jean Segura: "It's more likely to be a month than 10 days, which is a somewhat optimistic view. Could be as much as 2 months."

That’s some horrible news for the Mariners, especially with the likes of Felix Hernandez, Hisashi Iwakuma and Drew Smyly already on the shelf.
Acquired from Arizona in the deal that sent Taijuan Walker to the desert over the winter, Segura was having a tremendous first season in Seattle before suffering the injury. The 27-year-old shortstop is hitting .341 with four homers, 20 RBI and a .391 on-base percentage thus far this year.
