The Madden Championship Series (MCS) will return in 2023-24 with another $1.7 million prize pool through the Ultimate Madden Bowl.

The Madden NFL 24 competition begins Saturday, Aug. 19, with players trying to earn a spot in the Ultimate Kickoff, which features a $200,000 prize pool.

This year’s MCS will include one competition with a minimum $125,000 prize pool every month from September to January. The Kickoff and all Ultimate Challenge finals will be live and in-person.

Players will be able to cross-play on any Gen 5 console — PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X — as well as PC this year.

Tournaments will be only available through Madden Ultimate Team and will include three phases:

–Ladder Play Phase: Players compete against the field in an attempt to move up the leaderboard. Standings will be updated following each match, with the top 32 spots earning a bye until the Single Elimination Phase.

–Single Elimination Phase: On Day 1, the top 544 ranked players advance to the elimination phase and will earn MCS points based on tournament results. Players ranked Nos. 33-544 will face off in single-elimination games until only 32 remain. On Day 2, the top 32 players from the Ladders and the 32 who advance from Day 1 will be seeded into a 64-person single-elimination bracket.

–Live Event Phase: The top four players (top eight for Ultimate Kickoff) will be flown to an in-person showdown, where the winner will earn an MCS Belt.

The MCS 24 season will conclude with the $1 million Ultimate Madden Bowl, where the top 14 point-earners from across the season will compete in single-elimination bracket play across multiple days.

Registration for MCS 24 is now open at https://battlefy.com/madden-championship-series-2024.
