LeBron James is quick to credit teammates when his team is thriving, and he’s already created a shortcut to praise point guards Rajon Rondo and Lonzo Ball.

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin shared James’ nickname for the duo. And it sounds like a TV show set to premiere this fall.

Reactions to LeBron’s nickname are, once again, not great.

On media day, the newest Lakers star called the four-man unit of Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee and Michael Beasley “MUD.” It stands for misunderstood, under-appreciated and determined.”

Eh. Probably not, LeBron.

“The King” is legendary, but James’ nickname-giving game needs work. At least the Lakers didn’t sign LeBron for this.
