Wes Hills scored on a 14-yard touchdown run with 42 seconds left to help the New Orleans Breakers post a 38-31 win over the Houston Gamblers on Saturday in Birmingham, Ala.

New Orleans’ Jarey Elder stepped in front of Kenji Bahar’s pass and returned the interception 27 yards, setting up Hills’ third touchdown of the game. The scamper capped off an 18-carry, 110-yard day.

Bahar passed for 266 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions for the Gamblers (0-2). He was intercepted on the final possession by Vontae Diggs, putting a capper on the win for the Breakers (2-0).

Neither team could build a lead larger than seven throughout the contest, though New Orleans held a touchdown lead on three separate occasions in the fourth quarter.
