The Golden State Warriors have officially announced the signing of former MVP Kevin Durant. It came hours after the team was able to actually have their new star ink pen to paper on a two-year max deal.
On his way to Oracle Arena in Oakland to take part in his introductory press conference, Durant engaged in a quick interview with Laurence Scott of the Warriors official website.
When asked about his decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for Golden State, Durant had this to say.
“I just felt like they just meshed so well together. And it just seemed effortless, you know? It was kinda organic and I felt that when I met those guys, and started talking to them a little bit more two days, so seems like a perfect fit personality wise, man,” Durant said.
Regardless of your opinion of Durant deciding to join a 73-win team, this move makes Golden State the obvious favorites to win a second title in three years this upcoming season.
