On Wednesday night as the Philadelphia Flyers hosted the Washington Capitals, the team welcomed newly signed superstar Bryce Harper to the city with a video that got the crowd excited.

One person who was decidedly not excited about it, however, was Capitals announcer John Walton, who absolutely annihilated Harper with a quip about his potential batting average.
“We’ll see how welcoming they are when he’s hitting .230 on Memorial Day,” Walton said about the player who starred in D.C. until recently.
Sounds like some sour grapes were slipped into Walton’s tea.
For what it’s worth, the excitement factor is very real in Philly, as fans have flocked to the ticket booth ahead of the 2019 season.
