Jason Kelce admits 2023 ‘could very well be his final season’

While there have been countless amounts of legendary Philadelphia Eagles over the years, Jason Kelce is as good as they come. He’s been the rock for the Eagles for the past 13 seasons, starting 183 games at center since arriving as a sixth-round rookie back in 2011.

In that time, Kelce has developed into one of the best centers of his generation, becoming a five-time first-team All-Pro member while helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LII. But now he’s 35 years old, and there’s no telling how much longer he can keep playing, especially at an elite level.

On Thursday, Kelce appeared on NFL Network’s The NFL Report, where the Eagles center admitted the end of his playing career could be near.

Kelce has pondered retirement in the past, but he’s also been incredibly durable and hasn’t missed a game since 2012. Not to mention, Kelce is a key part of the Eagles’ sustained success, anchoring one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. He has yet to commit a penalty or allow a sack across 515 snaps heading into Week 8.

While Kelce continues to defeat Father Time, eventually, he’ll hang up his cleats, and as he says, maybe even after this season.
