New York Giants cornerback Adoree’ Jackson tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.

Jackson was expected to miss a third straight game Sunday with a quad injury anyway. But his replacement the past two games, Aaron Robinson, also tested positive and is out for the Week 15 contest against Dallas.

Both Jackson and Robinson are unvaccinated. Jackson became the sixth Giants player to test positive this week and the seventh to go on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Safety Xavier McKinney, also unvaxxed, was placed on the list as a high-risk close contact, a move that would not be warranted if he were vaccinated.

Jackson joins offensive lineman Wes Martin, linebackers Oshane Ximines and Cam Brown, wide receivers John Ross and Kadarius Toney, and Robinson as those who have tested positive. Martin is expected to come out of protocols soon.

The team expects McKinney to test out of the protocols before Sunday, when the Giants (4-9) host the NFC East-leading Cowboys (9-4).

Jackson, 26, has an interception and seven passes defensed to go with 56 tackles in 11 games (all starts) this season. It’s his first season in New York after spending the first four seasons in Tennessee. He was taken No. 18 overall in the 2017 draft by the Titans.
