Cowboys reportedly set to select Dez Bryant’s replacement Friday

The Dallas Cowboys are looking to replace longtime receiver Dez Bryant in the NFL Draft. They have their target in mind and reportedly won’t have to leave the Metroplex to get him.

According to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo! Sports, Dallas is targeting SMU receiver Courtland Sutton.

Sutton has been a monster for the Mustangs over the last two years. He caught 76 passes for 1,246 yards with 10 touchdowns in 2016 and followed it up with a 68 catch, 1,085 yard, 12 touchdown campaign in 2017. At 6-foot-4, Sutton has the size to be a formidable red-zone target for a long time, as well.

Of course, it’s worth mentioning that 17 picks will be made on Friday before the Cowboys select. So, if Dallas really has its heart set on Sutton, keep an eye on a possible trade. If that doesn’t happen and another team snatches Sutton, we at least have a pretty good idea of what position the Cowboys will be looking for.
