Conflict arises for date of Mayweather-McGregor bout in Vegas

Floyd Mayweather and UFC champion Conor McGregor are slated to take on one another in a cross-sport bout at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this upcoming August. The date and venue for the fight was announced this past week. It’s set to take place on August 26th.

Unfortunately, there appears to be a potential conflict at the venue. The inaugural season of Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league is set to conclude with the championship on that very same day. And yes, tickets are already on sale for it to be held at T-Mobile Arena.

According to TMZ Sports, BIG3 has no plans to move the championship game. Meanwhile, the outlet is reporting that plans are in motion to move the BIG3 event from T-Mobile to MGM Grand Garden Arena. Though, it doesn’t seem like those at the top of the start-up basketball league are willing to do that.

It should be interesting to see what comes of this.
