“Cole,” a 29-year-old in his first Madden Championship Series event, upset Dwayne “Cleff The God” Wood 24-21 on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Madden Ultimate Wild Card tournament.

Cole clinched a spot in the Madden Bowl with his victory over Cleff The God, who is the third-ranked Madden player in the world.

In the semifinals on Thursday, Cole will oppose Henry “Henry” Leverette, who edged “Astro” 35-31 in the quarterfinals.

Henry won the Ultimate Kickoff in September for his third straight Madden belt, though he didn’t get to the final eight of the latest major, the Madden Ultimate Thanksgiving in November.

“Dez,” who won the Madden Ultimate Thanksgiving at age 17 to become the youngest Madden Championship Series winner, advanced on Friday with a 31-13 victory over “KCP.”

Up next for Dez is a matchup with “Mr Football 88,” who downed “Cobo” 34-21.

The tournament champion will receive $75,000 and the runner-up will get $40,000 from the $260,000 prize pool.
