Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant will miss his fourth straight game with a strained left hamstring on Sunday when he sits out against the host Los Angeles Clippers.

“Like I keep saying, I don’t think this is a long-term thing,” Nets coach Steve Nash said. “But there is elements of maybe it being, taking a few more days than we thought or just being cautious. I think right now both are necessary. I don’t think he’s ready, I think he needs more time, but we’re also definitely going to be cautious.”
The vaunted trio of Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving has played in just seven games together for the Nets, who enter Sunday’s tilt on a season-best five-game winning streak.

Durant, 32, is averaging 29.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season after missing all of 2019-20 due to recovery from a torn Achilles tendon sustained in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals.
Recently named to his 11th All-Star Game, Durant has averaged 27.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 868 career games (867 starts) with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors and Nets.
