Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis wanted all of that smoke when Indiana Pacers’ Aaron Nesmith committed a hard foul on teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo during Wednesday night’s game.
Emotions were already running somewhat high after Indiana took out Milwaukee in the semifinals of the in-season tournament. These tensions were taken to a whole next level once Nesmith pretty much tackled Antetokounmpo. It led to a near brawl with Portis being in the middle of it.
Dating back to earlier in his career with the Chicago Bulls, Portis has a reputation for protecting his teammates at any cost. When said teammate is a two-time NBA MVP and one of the world’s greatest players, that level of protection goes up big time.
For Bobby Portis, it led to a moment in which the veteran looked like he wanted to steal Nesmith’s soul. He was ultimately ejected later in the game for continuing to jaw at Pacers players.

This is enough to frighten a grown man. When walking down the street and seeing it, pretend like you’re on a cellphone or something. Definitely avoid eye contact. Someone is not having a good day and is prepared to take it out on you.
In this scenario, Nesmith was in the receiving end of a death glare from Portis. Though, Antetokounmpo’s brother also looked like he was about to commit murder.
It goes without saying that this play and the situation that followed went viral on social media. The reactions were pretty much just as good as what we saw from Portis and Thanasis.
