Baylor forward Jalen Bridges announced Saturday that he is declaring for the NBA draft.

Bridges indicated he will maintain his eligibility in case he decides to play another college season.

“Playing in the NBA has always been a dream of mine and I feel that now is the right time to take a step to make my dream a reality,” Bridges said on Instagram. “I will continue to work hard and make the most of this opportunity, and I look forward to what the future holds.”

Bridges averaged 10.3 points and a team-high 5.6 rebounds in 34 starts for the Bears this season. It was his first season at Baylor after playing two campaigns at West Virginia.

Bridges has career averages of 8.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 95 college games (86 starts). He has made 100 3 pointers to go with 76 steals and 69 blocked shots.

Baylor could lose its entire starting five off the ’22-23 team. Keyonte George and Adam Flagler declared for the draft, LJ Cryer transferred to Houston and Flo Thamba is out of eligibility.
