Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young, six others ruled out vs. CharlotteHornets

Point guard Trae Young is one of seven players ruled out for the Atlanta Hawks in Sunday afternoon’s game against the Hornets in Charlotte, N.C.

Young, who is nursing a left calf contusion, averages team-best totals in points (25.4) and assists (9.5). He erupted for 42 points in Atlanta’s 120-108 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Young will be joined on the sideline Sunday by John Collins (left ankle sprain), Danilo Gallinari (right foot soreness), De’Andre Hunter (right knee soreness), Cam Reddich (right Achilles soreness), Tony Snell (right ankle sprain) and Kris Dunn (right ankle surgery).

The Hawks have won five of their past six games entering the opener of a two-game road trip on Sunday. They’ll likely need strong performances from Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Lou Williams and Kevin Huerter, among others, to continue their winning ways.
