New York Yankees star Aaron Judge broke the American League record for home runs in a season when he crushed his 62nd homer Tuesday night against the Texas Rangers in Arlington, Texas.

Leading off the nightcap of a doubleheader between New York and Texas, Judge belted a 1-1 pitch deep to left field off Rangers starting pitcher Jesus Tinoco.

Judge broke Yankees legend Roger Maris’ record six days after tying Maris at 61 in a Sept. 28 game against the host Toronto Blue Jays.
