The start of the 2020 MLB season remains very much up in the air. Owners had set forth a proposal to start the season in early July.

However, financial differences between the league and players as well as logistical concerns amid the pandemic have led to renewed questions.

What we do know is that multiple teams have now decided to open their facilities for workouts. That now includes the Tampa Bay Rays planning to allow players into Tropicana Field starting Monday.

To an extent, teams are still limited by local and state laws pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s not the case in Florida, where Governor Ron DeSantis has opened the state to professional sports.

This all comes with a renewed push to resume the NBA season in the state at Orlando’s Walt Disney World.

As it relates to the Major League Baseball season, there’s still a lot of unanswered questions. At the very least, some players are now returning to their team facilities. That can’t be seen as a bad thing.
