Report: Falcons signing former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell

The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly signing former Minnesota Vikings first-round pick Laquon Treadwell in free agency, per Zach Klein of WSB-TV.

Treadwell never lived up to the hype in Minnnesota, starting just 16 games in four years with the Vikings. All told, he caught just 65 passes for 701 yards and two touchdowns in 53 games.

Needless to say, the bar has been lowered for the former 23rd-overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. That being said, Treadwell has a new opportunity to shine in an offense that needs another playmaker now that tight end Austin Hooper is in Cleveland.
