Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis blocked a shot early during Friday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, and then he came up hobbling with an apparent ankle injury.

As noted by Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, Davis had to come out of the game and was worked on by trainers on the bench area.

Here, you can see he was in a great deal of pain.

It didn’t take much longer after that for Davis to limp off the court entirely for further evaluation in the Lakers’ locker room.

Davis has been nothing short of phenomenal for the Lakers this season, averaging 26.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.4 blocks per game. Losing him for any amount of time would be difficult for the team to overcome.
