Officials blow another call in Raiders-Packers game

NFL officiating has been the talk of the water cooler since the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers game this past Monday night.

It appears that the Packers received some more home cooking against the Oakland Raiders Sunday afternoon.

Up 14-10 late in the second quarter, Aaron Rodgers hit Jake Kumerow on what looked to be a 37-yard touchdown. However, the receiver obviously stepped out of bounds at the five-yard line.

Unfortunately for the Raiders, the call was upheld on review.

We’re not even sure where to start with this one. How in the world can you look at this review and see that Kumerow didn’t step out of bounds?

Officials get scrutinized at every turn. Sometimes, it’s not fair. But they don’t help themselves by making phantom calls like this.

And in reality, it could impact the outcome of the Raiders-Packers game. That’s highly unfortunate.
