Todd Frazier rips ‘immature’ Adam Eaton

Mets Todd Frazier

New York Mets third baseman Todd Frazier and Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton had to be separated during Monday night’s game.

On Tuesday, Frazier expounded a little bit more on the incident. While he wouldn’t get into specifics, he did label Eaton as “immature” and even seemed to reference an incident when the two were teammates on the Chicago White Sox in 2016.

Well that’s interesting.

One note here is that being on the 2016 White Sox must have been a crazy experience. That was the same year that Adam LaRoche left the Sox (and retired) before the season when he was told that his son couldn’t serve as batboy as much as he had been. That caused uproar among some players.

One of those players, Chris Sale, later cut up the jerseys his team was set to wear for a game because he didn’t want to wear them during his outing. It’s a wonder that team was basically blown up after that season.

As far as 2019 goes, the smart money says that we haven’t heard the last of this feud between Frazier and Eaton. Monday was just Game 1 of a four-game series. The teams will also play six times in the second half.

So, stay tuned.
