Baseball has provided fans with some incredible names throughout its history. Now that trend may carry over into the managerial role if Stubby Clapp can impress in his interview with the Texas Rangers.
According to Jon Heyman of Fancred, Texas will reportedly give Clapp an in-person interview in the coming days. Clapp, who worked in the minor leagues and is now managing in the Arizona Fall League, has been on the radar for several teams.

Named Baseball America’s Minor League Manager of the Year in 2017 with the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds, Clapp has already been successful in a managerial role.
While there is no rumored favorited for Texas’ manager job, baseball fans around the country might be clapping if Texas names Stubby as its next skipper.
