Bills’ Kelvin Benjamin blows off Josh Allen before Sunday’s game

This certainly isn’t a good look for the Buffalo Bills and embattled wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin. Having already struggled to do anything of substance thus far this season, it sure looks like Benjamin is not interested in acquiring a better relationship with rookie quarterback Josh Allen.

Multiple media reports noted ahead of Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans that Benjamin blew Allen off during pre-game warmups.

In an attempt to show leadership, Allen asked Benjamin if he wanted to run some routes. The wide receiver flatly declined, going on his merry own way. That’s just about as bad as it gets.

For Allen’s part, he knows full well that the two must do a better job in the passing game. Through five weeks, Benjamin has caught just 8-of-26 targets. That’s a 30.8 percent catch rate.

This comes on the heels of Benjamin being in the news for all the wrong reasons late this past summer. He got into a heated confrontation with former teammate, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

There’s obviously now an issue between Benjamin and his new quarterback. Yeah, maybe he’s the problem.

It will be interesting to see how the Bills’ brass and head coach Sean McDermott respond to this. Benjamin could very well be left behind in Houston without a return ticket to Western New York. And in reality, no one would blame the Bills.
