Rams OG Jamon Brown suspended two games

The Los Angeles Rams will be without one of their stalwarts along the offensive line for the first two games of the 2018 NFL season.

According to the Rams themselves, the fourth-year guard has been suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

“Rams offensive guard Jamon Brown has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse,” the Rams announced on their official website.

A 16-game starter for the Rams at right guard last season, Brown turned in a career year under first-year head coach Sean McVay. In fact, he’s one of the primary reasons Todd Gurley earned NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Pending appeal, Brown will miss games against the Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals. He’ll be eligible to return Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
