In a season already filled with memories for the Oakland Athletics and their fans, the organization found another way to provide fans with a lasting memory.

The Athletics will honor legendary baseball announcer Bill King on the one-year anniversary of him receiving the Ford C. Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

On July 30, the A’s Radio Network will have a commercial-free broadcast for the entirety of their game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

During the game, the broadcast will air several interviews with special guests and replay several of King’s legendary calls.

Among the guests during the special broadcast on July 30 will be Roy Steele, Ken Pries and King’s daughter, Kathleen Lowenthal.

Ray Fosse, who was on Oakland’s 50th-anniversary team and shared 20 years in the radio booth with King, will also be part of the broadcast.

It should be a must-listen game for all baseball fans and is a great promotion by the Athletics to honor King.
