LOOK: MLB shuts down Twitter user upset about ‘Pride Day’ post

Luke Heimlich

In honor of “Pride Day” on Sunday, MLB’s Twitter account posted a tweet displaying its MLB Pride float rolling through the streets in New York City’s 2018 Pride March.

When an upset Twitter user responded to the league’s account telling them he was done with the sport, MLB’s Twitter account immediately fired back and shut down the Twitter user.

It’s not often one of the most powerful and popular sports fires back at people in these moments, especially on social issues. But MLB made it clear their message was about peace and acceptance for everyone.

If the responses to MLB’s response here are any indication, baseball gained some added support today from fans who loved the league’s stance.
