Report: Anthony Davis ‘day-to-day’ with ankle sprain, doubtful for Friday

New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis had an MRI on his left ankle on Thursday that reportedly revealed a sprain and will likely keep him out of Friday’s game.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN called the injury “day-to-day.”

On Wednesday night after the game, Davis’ ankle was said to be “swelling significantly,” which is more evidence that this injury will likely keep him out for longer than just a couple days.

Averaging 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.3 blocks per game this year for the Pelicans, Davis is clearly one of the NBA’s top stars on both ends of the court.

New Orleans has won its last 10 games and is currently the No. 4 seed in the west with a record of 38-26. Hopefully for the sake of his team, Davis can return to action sooner, rather than later.
