On Saturday night, NBA G League player Zeke Upshaw collapsed on the court playing for Grand Rapids Drive, an affiliate of the Detroit Pistons. He was transported to Spectrum Hospital immediately afterward.
On Monday the team and his mother, Jewel Upshaw, announced he had passed away at the age of 26.

Upshaw played three seasons at Illinois State before finishing his college career at Hofstra. He spent the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons with Grand Rapids Drive, appearing in 75 games.
