This Friday in the NFL makes San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo a very rich young man.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Garoppolo’s $28 million roster bonus kicked in Friday afternoon.

Keep in mind that Garoppolo received a little extra pocket cash as a signing bonus to the tune of $7 million earlier this year.
Jimmy GQ is not done making money yet. Taking into consideration his NFL salary, Garoppolo will finish 2018 having collected $42.6 million in cold hard cash.
This is a lot of dough to pay a quarterback who has started in only seven games. For the sake of comparison when talking salaries, Garoppolo’s former teammate Tom Brady will earn $22 million in 2018.
