Ichiro Suzuki, one of the best hitters in baseball history, may be on his way to baseball’s best hitting park. A report from the Japanese website Sanspro.com is reporting that the Colorado Rockies are among the team’s interested in the 44-year-old free agent.

Ichiro had played with the Miami Marlins from 2015-2017. He was used primarily off the bench in 2017, taking only 196 at-bats while appearing in 139 games. He hit .255/.318/.332 with three home runs.

The report also cited Ichiro’s agent John Boggs saying he has been in contact with every MLB team (excluding the Marlins) this offseason. Additionally, Boggs noted that a return to Japan is possible for Ichiro if he does not land an MLB contract.

In the majors, Ichiro is a career .312/.355/.403 hitter with 117 home runs, 509 stolen bases, and 3,080 career hits. The latter is a record for non-American players.
