Hamilton Tiger-Cats now own negotiating rights for Robert Griffin III

The same team that had negotiating rights to Johnny Manziel recently has now set its sights on another failed NFL quarterback you might recognize. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats added Robert Griffin III to their negotiating list on Tuesday, meaning there’s a slight chance he could soon be playing in Canada.

Here’s a list of all the players that were added to every CFL team’s list.

This, of course, means nothing as far as RG3’s potential future in the NFL. This only means that no other CFL team can negotiate with Griffin, if he wants to play in that league.

Speaking of Griffin, he’s been pretty under the radar since being cut by the Cleveland Browns early last year. While he’s very active on social media, it seems NFL teams have cooled on his potential in a big way.

It’s a huge fall from grace considering this is the guy who won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award back in 2012, beating out Andrew Luck for the honor.
