Report: Browns on the verge of hiring Todd Haley as OC

The Cleveland Browns will have a new man calling the plays for the long downtrodden franchise next season. According to this report from Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns are on the verge of hiring Todd Haley as the team’s next offensive coordinator.

“The Browns are on the verge of landing one of the league’s most successful offensive coordinators in the former Steelers’ offensive boss,” the report read.

Haley has spent the past six seasons as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive coordinator, leading top-10 scoring units in each of the past four years. He’s as accomplished of an offensive mind that head coach Hue Jackson could have hoped for once he decided to give up play-calling duties following a winless 2017 campaign.

Haley might not be able to get water from a rock. But with some key additions this offseason, we’re sure to see an improved Browns offense. He’s most definitely an upgrade over what we saw with Jackson calling plays over the past two seasons.
